KNOCK IT OFF...PLEASE

Dear Facebook friends,

I love being your friend on facebook...truly. A lot of you guys I haven't seen in years and it's great to be able to know what you crazy kids are up to. However, all these silly request that i get daily must cease. No, i would not like to have a pillow fight with you. Or join your sorority on soroity life or whatever its called. Nor would i like to help you harvest your fake crops on your fake farm. So just cut it out already. Also i don't really care for the fake hugs and flowers etc. you guys send either. If you would like to send me real flowers or gifts of a monetary nature by all means email me ill give you my address. :) But this facebook stuff...just knock it off already. Its annoying! That goes for you too myspacers and this mafia family crap. STOP.IT.

"TOMGIRL"

So I survived my first week of playing mom to a second grader!! No tardies, all paper work signed, lunch money never forgotten. I know some of you guys are going big deal but hey i just kind of got thrown into this stuff. One day I'm just a single girl with no worries and the next I have this little person I'm responsible for. Quite the adjustment. So in honor of this accomplishment Hailey and I treated ourselves to a little Red Lobster Friday night. Endless shrimp people come on now. We also may have had a nibble or two of the chocolate wave dessert that comes with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Yum!

My friend Summer's little boy Peyton has been so excited since he heard that Hailey was back living with me. She was here for part of the summer and they got to be pretty good buddies even though Hailey is a few years older than him. So today we went over for a BBQ and to let the kids play. Now Peyton loves boy stuff don't mistake that but he also kind of digs girly things sometimes as well. For instance all last year his favorite color was pink and he was not afraid to tell you as much. He now is a blue lover but he still digs pink sometimes and his mom and I don't see anything wrong with that. His dad on the other hand doesn't think it's so cute. :) Anyways Hailey and Peyton were playing games on the computer together and this is the conversation I overheard them having.


Hailey: "Okay, I'm tired of this game what do you want to do now?"


Peyton: (in a really excited voice) "ewww how about that one where you get to dress up the people" (apparently this is a website where you get to design and dress up barbie online)


Hailey: (shocked) "Wow! Okay, you're a tomgirl aren't you?"


I mean I guess there are tomgirls if there are tomboys but I had never heard someone called that before. The kid totally cracks me up!!

Junk in the Trunk

Hailey and I are trying to get in the habit of picking out her school clothes for the next day the night before. Neither of us are "morning people" so this prevents any drama. Earlier I had her try on these khaki carpi's to make sure they still fit her. She didn't even have them zipped up yet and she was already pulling at them. She looks over at me and says "Nanny, these pants give me a wedgie I've been eating stuff that made my butt grow. After i stopped laughing i told her welcome to the club. There isn't a woman alive that doesn't have that same problem. She is a little young for all that though she is only 8. She just has simply out grown them. The kid makes me laugh though.

• Hello, Internets!! I've decided that i need to join the blogger world. I'm not really sure what i will be blogging but darn it there will be blogs. You see i always wanted to be one of those girls that wrote in a diary everynight. I don't have the best of memories so i think it would be fun to go back and read things that you may have forgotten about. Unfortunately, I was not a dear diary type of girl. Laziness mostly im sure. Since I now live 9 hours from home and don't get around to calling enough this might be a good way for the rents to know what their "favorite" daughter is up to. :) We will see how long i keep this up. Im still trying to figure this all out though so bare with me. Sweet dreams internets!!
